Job DetailsJob Location: Any Hour Group - OREM, UT 84058Travel Percentage: Up to 25%JOB SUMMARY:
Directs payroll operations across multiple business units, overseeing payroll processing, tax
setup, reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Leads the payroll team
in driving operational excellence by leveraging systems such as Paycom and Excel for accurate
processing and reporting. Also responsible for managing banking partners, verifying vendor
payments, and implementing corporate cellular plan consolidation. Partners with HR and
Finance leadership to enhance payroll and vendor processes, resolve complex issues, and ensure
compliant, efficient execution of all payroll and vendor payment functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Oversees payroll processing, ensuring timely, accurate pay across multiple states and
business units
• Develops and implements payroll strategies, processes, and governance aligned with
company objectives and legal requirements
• Manages tax setup and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
regarding payroll taxes and reporting
• Leads process improvement initiatives for payroll workflows, system use, and vendor
payment protocols
• Partners with Finance, HR, and IT to ensure alignment and integration between payroll,
accounting, and HCM systems
• Oversees reporting and dashboards to support Finance and executive leadership in payroll
analytics and forecasting
• Manages vendor relationships including payroll service providers, ensuring SLAs are met
and services are audited for accuracy
• Oversees corporate banking partnerships, including ACH setup and payment verifications
• Coordinates enterprise-wide efforts to consolidate mobile/cellular plans under preferred
vendor contracts
• Coaches and develops payroll team members, promoting accuracy, compliance, and a
culture of continuous improvement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Deep knowledge of payroll laws and multi-state regulatory compliance
• High proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas) and payroll platforms
(Paycom, iSolved, etc.)
• Strong leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze payroll data and identify trends or anomalies
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and
with executive leadership
• Experience managing vendor contracts, ACH verifications, and banking relationships
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:
• Must be able to sit for extended periods, handle repetitive computer tasks, and
occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT / TRAVEL:
• Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment
• Minimal travel required

QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURES:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred
Experience
• 10+ years of experience in payroll management, including multi-state compliance and
systems oversight
• 5+ years of people management experience leading payroll and/or vendor payment teams
• Experience with Paycom or comparable payroll/HCM platforms is strongly preferred
Licenses/Certifications
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred
