We are looking for motivated general labourers to join our production team in the weaving department.

QHSE Responsibilities (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment)

  1. Comply with QHSE practices and rules, along with regulatory requirements
  2. Perform duties in a safe and compliant manner
  3. Report injury, near misses, unsafe or improper practices and conditions accurately and promptly.
  4. Assist in improving and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, including participation in problem solving and risk analysis teams
  5. Attend all required HSE related training programs when required
  6. Coach new employees regarding proper HSE practices
  7. Know and understand the HSE plan and objectives
  8. Alert colleagues that are taking unnecessary risks
  9. Check safety devices prior to beginning operation
  10. Actively participate in HSE processes
  11. Question any work that you feel is unsafe and do not participate in work that will endanger the health or safety of any employee.
  12. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment

 

 

Job Requirements

  1. Have a good working knowledge of loom operating criteria and capable of running multiple looms at once.
  2. Must be able to recognize conditions that may result in fabric defects, in addition to recognizing a defect that has occurred.
  3. Reports all defects to Shift Supervisor and records in detail the status and cause of these defects on the Manufacturing Record.
  4. Works to a measured performance in both efficiency and quality requirements.
  5. Ensures all loom guards are in position and all safety requirements are followed.
  6. Leaves work area in a tidy condition at all times.
  7. Maintains accurate reports related to this position or as requested by Shift Supervisor.
  8. Assists Loom Prepper as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
  9. Must be familiar with all "Work Instructions" specific to weaving via VKS and all other relevant work instructions. Must keep current on new processes and process changes.

Competitive Salary

Shift premiums offered for 12-hour shifts and night shifts

 

Job type:

Full-time, night shift: 7pm to 7am
