Job Description:

RD&I Technician III

As a Technician III, you will partner with R&D teams to fabricate and test concepts for current and next generation window and door products. You will work independently, with direction from engineers, to coordinate and perform a wide assortment of tasks including: concept fabrication, test sample preparation, organization and recording of test results, fixture development and production.  You will be expected to communicate your progress with appropriate stakeholders, maintain an organized and clean work environment, and follow all safety and environmental procedures.  You will be a key contributor in our mission to become a world-class customer experience company through our products and services.
Minimum qualifications:
2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
General knowledge and use of computers and basic software (i.e. Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong interest and basic aptitude to work in a technical or scientific field (willingness to learn and operate new software and equipment)
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and be a team member
Ability to work flexible hours to support testing assignments and deadlines
Preferred qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a technical role
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and assist with written documentation.
Able to operate shop equipment (miter saw, tables saws, and drills) and/or power industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of window and door products.
Advanced knowledge of window and door installations.
Hands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional

Pay Range:

$27.25 - $39.55

**PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
