Job Description:

Compounding Tech I will be responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and production support as needed. Other duties will include assisting with startups, shutdowns, planned maintenance (Bi-Weekly), special projects and material trials etc.

6:00AM-6:00PM 12-hour-shift rotation 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with compounding startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as needed
Report process and product discrepancies to the Engineering group with examples & details
First point of contact to diagnose and resolve mechanical problems
Work with operations and maintenance teams while troubleshooting and assisting with issues
Attend support meetings to remain engaged with company objectives
Engineering & Maintenance Trials/Support

Develop relationship with key engineering/maintenance resources
Obtain scope and complete necessary work

Continuous Improvement

First point of contact for CI cards in the Engineered Materials space
Develop and demonstrate skillset for continuous improvement
Identify areas for improvement
Follow up and complete assigned tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Adaptability/Flexibility
Interpersonal abilities: able to relate to co-workers, inspire others, mitigate conflict
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Computer proficient - demonstrate basic computer skills and continuing development

Excel - Develop skillset to organize measurement data into charts and graphs
Word, PowerPoint
Outlook - Maintain email, Organize and set up meetings

Use computer skills to write work instructions or define requirements for completion of maintenance issues
Technical degree or relevant experience
Equipment maintenance experience

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to assess situations and determine if an issue is equipment or process-related and take the proper corrective action and escalation through various departments (Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Operations etc.)
Able to diagnose quality issues and understand next steps needed to resolve non-conformance
Able to diagnose process and equipment issues by understanding first-steps needed to root-cause the machine problem.
Strong background knowledge of all Compounding/Pelletizer/Blender Operator Skills

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capability
Strong aptitude in problem-solving and process improvement
Ability to articulate problems and solutions verbally
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and process procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

Must be able to stand for 12 hours
* Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $25.45-$35.45.

Pay Range:

$24.45 - $35.45

**PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
