Primary Function:

The PCB CAD Technician 1, Engineering Services is primarily responsible for creating 3D rendered images of PCB and hardware designs to support ADI’s go-to-market requirements and documentation. This role operates 3D modeling/rendering tools, follows established workflows for image generation, and collaborates closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery of digital assets in accordance with ADI’s brand and visual identity system. Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering (e.g., Cadence 3D Canvas and SolidWorks 3D) and strong attention to detail are key to success in this function.

Educational Background:

Graduate of Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology and similar technical/vocational courses.

Experience: 

Fresh graduate or with at least 1-2 years’ work experience in electronics or semiconductor industry

Knowledge, skill and abilities:

  • Basic knowledge in 3D PCB modeling and rendering proficiency
  • Familiarity with any 3D modeling/rendering tool such as Cadence 3D Canvas or SolidWorks 3D, and Adobe Photoshop is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Printed Circuit Boards and Hardware form factors and knowledgeable in Basic Electronics
  • Familiarity with Cadence Allegro PCB Editor
  • Must demonstrate strong visual creativity and artistic ability.
  • Open in exchanging ideas and information with stakeholders.
  • Ability to follow standardized processes/workflow and quality guidelines
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Delivers high-quality work in fast-paced or high-pressure environments

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality 3D models and renders for ADI application boards to meet go-to-market requirements
  • Provide 3D drawing output files in various formats such as .PNG and .STEP
  • Create accurate 3D models of electronic and mechanical components based on datasheet specifications
  • Operate 3D rendering and modeling software including Cadence 3D Canvas and SolidWorks
  • Perform image post-processing using Adobe Photoshop
  • Collaborate and communicate with marketing and product applications teams to ensure accuracy and timely project completion
  • Document projects and resolve 3D rendering issues related to quality and standards
  • Track and update all 3D rendering project tasks on Adobe Workfront
