Mixed-Signal System Design Engineer within Datacenter Infrastructure

Analog Devices is currently recruiting for the role of Mixed-Signal System Design Engineer within the Datacenter Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of power modules and systems to support next generation Datacenter solutions.

Datacenter infrastructure encompasses the physical and virtual resources that support a data center's operations. This includes hardware like servers, storage, networking equipment, power systems, energy systems, and cooling systems, as well as software for resource management and virtualization. The infrastructure is crucial for ensuring the data center's efficiency, security, and reliability. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New power module product developments including product definition, feasibility, design, simulation, test, lab evaluation/debugging, qualification and release.
  • Go-to Expert on Mixed-Signal ADC and DAC functional blocks for datacenter power solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-company and cross-teams including product marketing, technology groups, applications teams, software teams, and customers to understand application requirements and contribute to architectural decisions of new products. Participate in customer, vendor or factory visits.
  • Enhance product development flows and qualities through advanced tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present design review documentation at peer review meetings.
  • Deliver technical writing, presentations and training sessions.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in CPE/EE or related field with a focus on mixed-signal systems. Power delivery and design an added plus.
  • Minimum 5-year industry experience in ADC/DAC ICs and systems. Experience in digital sampling theory and the design of mixed-signal systems.
  • Design and implement mixed-signal systems including power management ICs, ADCs, DACs, and PLLs
  • Strong foundation of analog circuit, power electronics and power management systems.
  • Strong analytic skills. Proficient in power converter modeling, control architecture and loop design, static and dynamic performance optimizations.  
  • Familiar with system design/simulation/optimization tools (SPICE/LTspice, Simplis, MathCAD/Matlab, Ansys/Maxwell, ADS, HFSS, Allegro) and lab equipment for power applications.
  • Strong hardware and circuit debugging skills.
  • Familiar with digital power management, I2C and PMbus protocols.
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed up to 20% of time.
