ADI’s global procurement organization is expanding as we continue to evolve into a global centralized procurement organization.  ADI is looking for a Procurement Category Manager to support our Facilities team based in Chon Buri, Thailand, with a focus on APAC regional operations and Thailand-specific compliance, to join the team as an integral part of this change.  This individual will have regional responsibility for a significant and critical pool of spend supporting and with exposure to all of our end markets including: industrial, automotive, digital healthcare, and high-end consumer power management markets. 

Context on the role:

Individual will bring definitive value to the Procurement organization via analytical rigor, structured methodology to existing and new spend, market knowledge and spend leverage.  Responsibilities include:

Job Duties:

  • Understanding needs and requirements of internal stakeholders on current and future spend for a given category(ies)

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to define and develop category strategy, and approach to leveraging spend across the functional organizations

  • Coordinating with global engineering, facilities and other functional organizations to ensure on time delivery, cost expectations and inventory targets

  • Developing and managing supplier relationships, metrics and performance

  • Providing market intelligence

  • Leading supplier negotiations including RFP/RFQ processes, contract management, and long term strategic negotiations to obtain maximum value proposition and meeting savings targets

  • Recognizing and understanding supply risk to the organization, work with suppliers and internal stakeholder to resolve or suggest alternative solutions.

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Thailand regulatory standards including Tax, labor laws, and environmental regulations relevant to facilities operations.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Industrial Engineering

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within a procurement or Supply Chain function 

  • Strong analytical/negotiation skills and proven track record in Supplier Management and negotiations.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills with ability to handle multiple tasks at once and switch between strategic and detail-oriented thinking

  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments

  • Effective Communicator with the ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships internally including cross functional and cross site collaboration.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Thai (or relevant regional language) to effectively engage with local suppliers and cross-functional teams.

  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills.

  • Understanding of cost modeling and business financial acumen preferred

  • Experience with SAP or Oracle as MRP system preferred

  • Strong IT skills.  High Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Experience in Semiconductor industry a plus

  • Familiarity with Thailand’s vendor landscape, including local sourcing practices, vendor qualification processes, and government-mandated procurement norms.
