Excellent opportunity to join an established payroll team for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to support the payroll team during an upcoming exciting project. As a member of Global Payroll team, you will perform a variety of payroll functions which will include, but are not limited to preparing, processing, maintaining, verifying and reconciling employee payroll records. 

You will work with the team to accurately and efficiently produce the weekly, monthly and fortnightly payrolls. You will collaborate with internal departments and escalate any issues to the Payroll Manager. You will help with and contribute to projects as needed such as end to end testing on new processes and systems.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

The Associate Payroll Specialist is part of the Cork based Global Payroll team reporting to the Payroll Manager. This role is responsible for the production of the weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls in a fast-paced environment. Processing of all payroll components (time worked, shift differentials, sick, disability, deductions, etc.)  and ensuring that they are calculated accurately and ensuring that accurate and timely payrolls are processed for all employees. 

As a member of Global Payroll team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process including but not limited to: 

  • Completion of the T&A process and ensuring the hours worked are accurate.

  • Payroll related tasks for new hires, rehires, terminations, payroll movers and transfers

  • Completion of Revenue RPN process in a timely manner.

  • Processing and calculations of all leave types including sick, maternity, paternity, parents, parental, health & safety, adoptive, carers, unpaid leave etc.

  • Processing and calculations of all social welfare benefits

  • Processing of Benefit in Kind including Healthcare

  • Processing of salary sacrifice deductions

  • Processing of RSUs, Stock Options & APSS schemes.

  • Processing of Pension and AVC contributions.

  • Processing of One Time Payments

  • Processing of allowances and deductions

  • Ensure timely submission of payroll related reporting including Revenue Submission & reporting to finance.

  • Maintenance, auditing & analysing data including, standard working hours, deductions, allowances, bank details.

  • Assist with employee queries, including the completion of forms.

  • Participation in projects and working groups.

  • Ad hoc reporting including Monthly reporting.

Educational Background:  

IPASS/IATI qualification or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of working experience in end-to-end Irish payroll processing

  • Experience in Irish payroll

  • Strong knowledge of Irish Payroll legislation & regulations

  • Experience using different applications and databases; Core, Core Insight, Kronos, Workday, SAP, ADP Global View systems, ROS beneficial

  • Skilled in MS Excel – pivots, v-look ups & formulas. Macros a plus. 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality. 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion. 

  • Solutions-oriented with effective problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Build relationship with other departments/stakeholders
