Summary

Performs receiving, inventory processing, and material handling functions in the raw material warehouse. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, preparing samples, performing Epicor transfers, cycle counting, and coordinating recycling pickups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload and load raw materials and verify documentation.
  • Provide samples for QA inspection and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process Epicor transfers and material issues.
  • Manage return-to-stock items and coordinate recycling pickups.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and assist with freight claim processing.
  • Support inbound receiving and component warehouse teams.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Forklift certification through Positronic required.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license required prior to certification.
  • May be required to obtain a Class E driver’s license.
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC certification program.

Physical

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and reach overhead.
  • Regularly grips and moves materials by hand and equipment.
  • Requires coordination and precision when handling material transfers.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to forklifts, shelving, and moving equipment. May be exposed to dust, noise, and fumes on occasion.

Competencies

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of raw material handling, receiving procedures, and Epicor transactions.
  • Understanding of production processes and warehouse logistics.
  • Familiarity with chemical safety, scrap recycling, and documentation standards.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical handling equipment and transport protocols.

Skills

  • Skill in loading/unloading materials and coordinating freight.
  • Proficient in Epicor use for transfers, returns, and counts.
  • Detail-oriented when documenting and verifying receipts.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple warehouse zones.

Abilities

  • Ability to operate forklifts and manual handling tools safely.
  • Ability to recognize discrepancies and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to multitask between receiving, recycling, and returns.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate across departments.
