About this role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Stores Person in HMP Whatton, New Lane, Whatton, Nottingham NG13 9FQ.

 

The salary is £26,141.95.

 

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 07:30 - 16:30 Monday-Thursday; 07:30 - 15:30 Friday.

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

 

What you will do:

  • Control of stock
  • Delivery of items in a timely manner to prisoners and around the prison to staff
  • Collect any items locally as and when required

What you will bring:

  • Comfortable working alongside prisoners
  • IT skills
  • Driving licence
  • Knowledge of manual handling is desirable
  • Experience working within a similar stock/store room environment
  • IPAF/forklift experience is advantageous
