Taylor Hobson is recruiting for an Electronics/Systems Placement Student to join the Business Unit in Leicester, United Kingdom for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of our multi-disciplined R&D team you will be involved with the design, development and testing of the control systems for our precision measurement instruments.
This could involve the following:
Writing and testing firmware for FPGAs and microcontrollers
Creating and modifying CAD drawings in various software packages
Assisting with evaluation testing, involving measuring components on our instruments and analysing the results
Assisting with creation and maintenance of electronics CAD libraries
Requirements for Consideration
ESSENTIAL:
At least basic knowledge of the following -VHDL FPGA design ,C programming, digital and analog electronics
Strong all-round communication and analytical skills and a real commitment to teamwork
Drives projects to completion
Confidence and integrity
DESIRABLE:
Proficient in the use of Word processing, Maths (Excel) and PCB schematic capture software
Undergraduate level electronic engineering or related discipline.
