About this role

As a Staff Accountant, you will contribute to various aspects of accounting, including the closing process and journal entry processing, analysis, account reconciliations, and various reporting and filing. In addition to these duties listed, you will help maintain the SOX controls & compliance program.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly G/L closing, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Complete 7th day webforms in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Preparation of daily reports.
  • Manage Forza business invoicing and accounts receivables.
  • SOX reporting deliverables include testing and compliance, process narratives and remediation of control deficiencies.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Interface with outside/internal advisers and auditors related to compliance including SOX, Internal Audit and External Auditors.
  • Complete various intercompany accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate with others to support functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Operations and Sales.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in finance/accounting. 
  • Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a part of the team.
  • Experience with Oracle/SAP is preferred but not required.
