About this role
The Production and Materials Technician is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate material availability, maintaining ERP data, coordinating material flow, and assisting the Production and Purchasing teams with timely information.
Responsibilities
- Support production supervisors with material status updates, delivery commitments, and priority actions.
- Monitor daily production schedules to ensure required materials are available at the right time and quantity.
- Identify potential material shortages and escalate promptly to Production and Purchasing teams.
- Verify that material transactions (issues, returns, scrap, adjustments) are accurately reflected in the ERP system.
Requirements
- College degree (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production, materials planning, or purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
