About this role

The CNC Engineer will provide technical support for CNC machines, products, and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for programming, maintaining, and installing new equipment transferred or introduced to AMETEK HT Reynosa.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal operating conditions for all CNC machines across the division.
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand project specifications and desired outputs.
  • Inspect and measure finished components to verify compliance with requirements and ensure process accuracy.
  • Coordinate improvement activities with RHT division team members.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and make timely, effective decisions.
  • Create procedures, work instructions, and related documentation.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and availability.
  • Foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Support supplier development activities.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits (ISO 9000).

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with machining centers or similar equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Proficiency in computer programming and CAD/CAM systems.
  • Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and prints.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
