About this role

Park Nicollet looking to hire an Audiologist to join our Audiology team supporting ENT!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

Assesses auditory function and communication problems caused by hearing loss utilizing appropriate audiologic diagnostic procedures. Provides consultation and recommendation of audiologic (re)habilitation, including amplification devices (when appropriate). Promotes patient advocacy, patient education, and prevention of communication problems. Employee may be required to float to any site on occasion, as determined by business need.

Work Schedule:

Fulltime 1.0 FTE. Monday - Friday

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders with specialization in Audiology required. 

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Required upon hire: State of Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Licensure for Audiologists. (Maintenance of MDH Licensure is required for the duration of employment.)

This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Adheres to the Code of Ethics of ASHA and/or the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and if the Audiologist is a member of the Minnesota Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) or Minnesota Academy of Audiology (MAA), then also responsible for adherence to their Code of Ethics 

This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations, and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws). 

This position requires familiarity and compliance with Hearing Center & Store policies and procedures that have been developed to ensure best care practices, adherence to JCAHO standards, which foster a cooperative team within the Hearing Center & Store.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. 

The Audiologist must routinely and proficiently operate the following: 2 Channel Diagnostic Audiometer, Portable Screening Audiometer, Visual Reinforcement Audiometry System, Diagnostic Impedance Bridge, Portable Screening Tympanometer, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Compact Disk Player, and Telephone. If a dispensing audiologist, the list also includes hearing aid electro acoustic analyzer, probe microphone system, and personal computer with programmable hearing aid software.
