About this role

This role for Change Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives and strengthening data capabilities. This role focuses on ensuring seamless operational support for both legacy systems and data lake, while upholding data quality standards and promoting best practices. This role is also responsible for supporting business-as-usual (BAU) and level 2 support activities on day-to-day basis and transitioning these activities to the production support team. This role will drive, enable and administer the development of capabilities in the management of reference data, data warehouse, data lake and ongoing/future business transition to India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the development of reference data, data warehouse(ODWM) and data support team in India and manage a process sync between onshore/offshore teams across region to develop functionality and processes that meet the needs of all users and stakeholders of our data.

  • Perform gap analysis to improve process around proper and timely establishment of new equity, fixed income, and derivative securities. Set up and review securities specific details and maintain of the security data within the Security Master systems (e.g. Aladdin and GSSM).

  • Monitor and resolve exceptions from data management supported business and technology systems, which could include not only security data, but positions, analytics, accounts, reference, and other enterprise data.   

  • Support data quality activities to ensure data from source systems is accurate, current, consistent and fit for purpose with the team supporting data quality investigations as required.

  • Assist in the execution of enterprise-wide programs by offering reliable and consistent data delivery.

  • Provide data expertise for cross-functional projects, ensuring data integrity and availability.

  • Contribute to the implementation of data governance practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

  • Partner with product owners and technology teams to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly data solutions.

  • Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications that can be used to design and implement solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Update/create user and technical documentation procedure and manuals, operational support documentation.

  • Provide ongoing support to maintain operational stability for legacy systems such as GIDS, GSDW, PACE, MEDM, and MADROCK.

  • Participate in efforts to integrate data from legacy systems into a centralized Data Lake, ensuring scalability and flexibility for future needs.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure legacy systems are seamlessly integrated with data platforms.

  • Provide guidance and training to business users on how to effectively access, navigate, and use data stored in databases and data lake.

  • Pro-actively identify areas for potential process improvements and effectively communicating them to management.

 

Skills:

  • Understanding of the asset management industry, including familiarity with various asset types and the range of products offered by asset management firms.

  • Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, as well as with external partners when necessary.

  • Proven ability to influence decision-making processes at various levels within the organization.

  • Experience collaborating with operations, investment, and distribution teams to gather and provide the necessary data to support their functions and objectives.

  • Skilled in collecting and interpreting user requirements from business stakeholders and product owners and translating them into clear data specifications for development.

  • Experience with key data systems such as AWS, GSDW, PACE, MEDM, GIDS, and MADROCK, with an intermediate to advanced level of expertise, or a willingness to learn.

  • Experience in testing large data sets and collaborating with the testing team to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Comfortable working with SQL, or willingness to quickly develop SQL skills as needed.
