Job Description:

Summary:

The Undergraduate Advising Front Desk Assistant supports a team of eight staff members by providing reception and administrative support for the SIS Undergraduate Advising Office. Duties will include but are not limited to scheduling appointments, filing, answering the front desk phone and email, and greeting students and other guests. Other duties will include scanning and photocopying, data entry, and delivering documents to different campus departments.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedule appointments.

  • File, scan, and photocopy documents.

  • Deliver documents to different campus departments.

  • Data entry.

  • Answer the front desk phone and email.

  • Greet students and guests.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 6 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $17.95 - $18.20 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in multicultural environments.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Customer Service focus is essential.

  • Comfortable moving event tables/chairs and able to lift 25 pounds.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience working at AU campus office.

  • All AU work-study students are eligible to apply for this position, with a preference for those students who are in SIS.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Student must have an active Federal Work Study award.
