$16.72 - $27.86

This is a part-time onsite position, Monday-Friday from 7:30a-11:30a.

Added incentive: employees who work on Saturday will receive a $10/hr. differential.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Pathology Lab Accessioner unpacks pathology specimens, assures specimens are properly labeled and that critical information on the label matches information on the requisition, registers the specimen in the Lab Information System (LIS) distributes specimens to the appropriate laboratory section, and continues to gain knowledge of specimens and their adequacy for testing. Assists technologists in keeping the laboratory organized by performing a variety of clerical, technical, and administrative tasks.


QUALIFICATIONS


• 1-2 years’ experience in medical and/or laboratory setting with an understanding of medical terminology required.
• Students seeking Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related field desirable.
• Candidate must demonstrate dependability, flexibility and adaptability in all aspects of laboratory responsibilities and scheduling hours.
