Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP), a key part of our Enterprise Technology Services organization, focuses on delivering data products that fuel business growth and unlock value, while also shaping robust data management strategies and governance solutions. The Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is part of Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP). Our aim is to propel growth, unlock potential, enhance efficiency, manage risk, and foster talent. By prioritizing enterprise-wide growth and value creation, we develop solutions that enhance satisfaction, streamline operations, and maintain trust and security.

American Express continues to invest in Enterprise Data Management, and as part of this evolution, the Enterprise Data Office is seeking a Senior Manager - Organizational Change Management to lead communications and engagement strategy in support of EDO initiatives and enterprise-wide adoption.

This role will serve as the strategic and executional leader for how EDO communicates with stakeholders across the company, ensuring our messages are clear, consistent, aligned, and actionable. This individual will shape the overarching communications strategy, craft compelling content, and equip leaders and partners with the tools they need to cascade key messages and drive adoption of EDO standards, products, and initiatives.

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end communications and engagement strategy for the Enterprise Data Office, ensuring clear, consistent, and actionable messaging across stakeholder groups.
  • Create and maintain core EDO communication assets, including newsletters, announcements, executive talking points, leadership toolkits, FAQs, and program updates.
  • Own messaging frameworks and narratives that articulate the purpose, impact, and expectations of EDO initiatives and Enterprise Data Management programs.
  • Act as a strategic communications advisor to leaders and SMEs, offering guidance on message positioning, channel selection, and communication best practices.

     

  • Equip leaders and stakeholder groups with materials and tools to effectively cascade messages and drive engagement across their organizations.

     

  • Measure communication effectiveness through defined KPIs and stakeholder feedback, using insights to refine messaging and improve engagement.
  • Integrate communication efforts with broader organizational change management activities to enhance readiness, awareness, and adoption of EDO initiatives.

     

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in strategic communications, organizational change management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience owning communication strategy and producing high-quality content for complex, enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and message development skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing across a matrixed organization.

     

  • Bachelor’s degree.

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and managing communication channels such as newsletters, intranet pages, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Excellent presentation and visual communication skills, including synthesizing complex information into compelling formats.
  • Background in large U.S. or global financial institutions or regulated environments is a plus.

     



Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
