About this role

Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Hotel Commercial, this is a strategic, high-visibility role within our Global Business Partnerships division. This position is instrumental in driving revenue through the negotiation of hotel supplier agreements that create mutual value for customers, suppliers, and Amex GBT. As Manager of GSP, you will lead comprehensive supplier management initiatives—from contract negotiation and execution through business development and strategic partnership programs, including our Hotel Growth Initiative (HGI).

What You'll Do:

  • Negotiate Strategic Agreements: Develop and execute profitable hotel supplier contracts that deliver measurable value across all stakeholders while advancing Amex GBT's commercial objectives
  • Accelerate Revenue Growth: Identify, develop, and drive implementation of incremental revenue opportunities with existing and prospective suppliers
  • Execute Value Delivery: Operationalize supplier value propositions and establish strategies to ensure all business development commitments are realized
  • Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through innovative engagement approaches and channels beyond conventional sales models
  • Monitor & Forecast Performance: Analyze portfolio metrics, track business performance, and develop revenue forecasts in coordination with the Global Revenue Management team
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate across departments and regions—including Traveler Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, Meetings & Events, Global Business Consulting, and GBP teams—to align strategies, enhance engagement, and optimize collective outcomes

What We're Looking For:

  • Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal); multilingual capabilities are advantageous
  • Strong analytical mindset with sophisticated commercial expertise and strategic thought leadership
  • Exceptional relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing capabilities across all organizational levels
  • Proven consultative selling and negotiation expertise with a demonstrated track record of successful outcomes
  • Results-oriented approach with a history of delivering best-in-class performance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the hotel and travel supplier industry and strong working knowledge of travel technology platforms (GDS, Point of Sale systems, online booking tools)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, deliver on schedule and within scope, and operate autonomously in a remote environment
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving business conditions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required and ability to work effectively in a virtual, US-based environment
