Job Summary
Assist Transmission Field Services (TFS) management and field personnel in assigned TFS Area(s) with the interpretation and development of safe work methods and procedures, the implementation of best practices, development and administration of capital and/or maintenance work plan, preparation of cost estimates to applicable work, the utilization of technology, the development of streamlined documentation and reporting, the development of IT systems that will assist TFS, the identification of appropriate refresher training and new equipment training; and, assist with the facilitation of information sharing meetings. Based on discipline (Station, P&C, or Line) some duties may not be applicable.Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Review work practices for consistency across assigned TFS Area(s).
Assist with assigned TFS area(s) capital and/or maintenance work plan development and administration within established measurable goals, objectives, and project requirements.
Assist with the facilitation of meetings within assigned TFS Area(s) to share ideas and develop uniform policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining assigned TFS Area(s)tool budget as well as assistance in coordination of associated training related to those tools.
Develop understanding, assist in advocating, and improving data collection systems for assigned TFS Area(s)
Become familiar with and support assigned TFS Area(s) in utilization TFS IT programs.
Travel extensively through assigned TFS Area(s) to stay current with existing work practices and field issues.
Begin to develop knowledge to become a subject matter expert on Station, P&C, or Transmission Line issues.
Assist in preparing cost estimates for non-routine work, special projects, equipment maintenance projects or construction projects.
Assist in the coordination of securing rental equipment in assigned TFS(S) Area.
Assist with applicable initiatives assigned by TFS Area Supervision.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Educations Requirements:
Associate degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related technical field and 1 year of utility field experience.; or high school diploma or GED and 3 years of related utility field experience.
Work Experience requirements:
Utility field experience would include Transmission or Distribution Line, Station, P&C or Technical Support experience; or maintenance and/or construction work/project scheduling or project controls experience.
