Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, oversee work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities.Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assist with job planning, safety, crew critique, or other tasks as needed.
Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design, construction standards, and construction quality.
Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly.
Resolve customers' concerns associated with work performed by contractors.
Document construction events to protect AEP's interest from future claims.
Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete, and reasonable.
Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities.
Certify acceptability of contractors' work for invoice approval and payment.
Assume other duties as required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education requirements are listed below: High school diploma or GED.
Work Experience requirement listed below: Thorough knowledge of electrical distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards. Minimum two years experience as a Distribution System Inspector Assoc. or equivalent related experience.
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving safety record.

Physical demand level is Sedentary .Typically second step of progression in job family or can be entry level based on previous experience/job classification.
