Our Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy team builds a better world by driving more than $10 million in annual giving to local, national, and international charitable organizations. We foster associate engagement, build community connection, and make a meaningful impact through our Brands, the AEO Better World Foundation, AE Foundation, Aerie Real Foundation, and dedicated internal and external programs.

The AEO Inc. Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy team is seeking a full-time Lead to manage the end-to-end grantmaking process, execute internal and external fundraising/events, oversee financial reporting, and manage key associate engagement programs. This position requires an individual who can thrive within a small, fast-paced team and a larger corporate environment, bringing experience in non-profit, fundraising, events, or grantmaking fields.

 

What You’ll Do:

Foundation and Corporate Giving

  • Support grant administration for the Aerie Real Foundation, AE Foundation and Better World Foundation, with more than $3 million in giving annually.
  • Manage Give Back Days Grant Program for our US and Canada Stores Team, including designing communication, tracking form submission, following up with internal partners, processing checks, and completing grant disbursals.
  • Compile proposal summaries and facilitate committee meetings to discuss relevant grant proposals for quarterly grant cycles.
  • Research non-profit organizations, meet with potential applicants as needed, and grow grantmaking to underrepresented areas in our community.
  • Update digital grant records and track impact statistics across grant programs.

 

Event and Program Management

  • Run our Associate Charitable Engagement Programs, including matching gifts, individual/team volunteer awards, and volunteer time off.
  • Coordinate associate fundraising efforts, including bi-annual Sample Sales and support the annual Count Me In campaign.
  • Work alongside the Philanthropy team to deliver our signature fundraising event, the AEO Foundation Golf Classic.
  • Manage internal and external charitable events throughout the year, such as Community Day, including tracking volunteers and attendees, providing on the ground event facilitation, and handling facilities and catering orders.

 

Administration

  • Submit corporate donations and partner with the Accounts Payable department for timely payments.
  • Create content related to philanthropy for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage public-facing inboxes for the Foundations and corporate giving.
  • Process gift cards as needed for charitable donations.

 

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years experience in a non-profit, fundraising, events, grantmaking, or related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and follow through to complete projects.
  • Working knowledge of Google technology products, AI and Google App Scripts.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and be on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Minimum 1 day in office per week; in-office days fluctuate based on current events and programs.

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
