Where You Will Work:  

Join our 28-bed Neurosciences Unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus, proudly recognized by The Joint Commission as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital. Our team provides exceptional care to patients with stroke, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and other complex neurological conditions. The unit features six Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) rooms for continuous EEG monitoring and three Intermediate Care beds for patients requiring advanced observation and specialized nursing expertise. We foster a supportive, team-centered culture where nurses are empowered to grow, lead, and contribute to continuous improvement through shared governance and professional development. Expectations We’re Looking For:  

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing  

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association  

 

What You’ll Do:  

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.  

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.  

 

About This Location:  

Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we provide comprehensive emergency services and a wide range of specialty medical care. We are proud to hold disease-specific certifications in Stroke, Epilepsy, Spine, Bariatrics, and Chest Pain Center care.
