Cherokee ER is a 7 bed that ER in a rural community.  The ER can provide emergency evaluation, stabilization and treatment for ill or injured patients.  Patients needing more complex care for traumatic or life-threatening injuries or illness can be transferred to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center or another appropriate facility through Atrium Health Floyd Emergency Medical Services.   Experienced ER RNs new to the organization are assessed for required education and competency.  TNCC, BLS, ACLS and NRP will be required.  

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Emergency Room experience is preferred

What You’ll Do:

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center is a not-for-profit 50-bed hospital in Centre, Alabama, and is part of the Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic system’s comprehensive network of care. The hospital provides emergency care, imaging, drug and alcohol treatment, lab work, a pharmacy, respiratory care and surgical services.
