Pay Range

$75.40 - $120.65

Major Responsibilities:

Leading Market Intelligence & Research 

Serves as a expert strategic advisor to executive leadership, division leadership and boards, shaping enterprise strategy through the development of evaluation frameworks and best practices. Conducts market and partnership research and monitors regulatory and industry trends to inform organizational decisions. Delivers actionable assessments that allow for scenario planning that are vital to Enterprise System of Systems work. 

Enterprise M&A Partnership Strategy and Execution 

Develops and Leads enterprise health system profile processes. This process integrates financial, operational, and strategic insights to assess organizational strengths, market dynamics, strategic capabilities. Allows our ability to understand partner fit against our Rewire strategic framework. Oversees creation and maintenance of project plans, Gantt charts, and monitors timelines for ongoing and upcoming M&A activities. 

Asset Optimization & Strategic Assessment 

Expertise to deliver on enterprise-wide asset optimization efforts by contributing to internal assessments, market evaluations and other actionable strategies. Leads the development of recommended strategies for partnerships and business model adjustments and helps facilitate portfolio analysis and execution support.  

Data Analysis & Decision Support Leadership 

Develops and innovates industry leading tools that utilize both internal and third-party data sources to and enterprise data Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes enterprise statistics, market data, and performance metrics for stakeholders. Prepares and presents reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and strategic planning, while tracking and reporting on key measures. 

Process Improvement & Innovation 

Identifies opportunities to automate and streamline data collection, reporting, and project management processes. Leads the transition and optimization of digital workspaces for collaboration and knowledge sharing, and supports the development and implementation of new tools, templates, and best practices for M&A and partnership evaluation. 

Team Leadership & Talent Development 
Expectations that this role fosters a collaborative learning environment of bi-directional learning. Seeking to mentor and train newer team members, while also expanding personal skills and capabilities. 

Confidentiality and Autonomy 

This leadership role leads extremely sensitive strategic initiatives that require extreme confidentiality. This dictates that work must remain focused to a small subset of highly functional leaders who must work autonomously on very complex partnerships and divestiture strategies and transactions. Must lead other leaders through complex situations, which are often completely confidential.  

Compliance & Transactional Integrity 
Establish and maintain rigorous internal processes to ensure compliance with Advocate Health’s Code of Ethical Conduct and regulatory standards. Coordinate across business development, legal, compliance, finance, and operations to uphold governance and accountability.

Minimum Job Requirements 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.  
  • Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Certification / Registration / License 

  • N/A. Active in related professional organizations is expected.

Experience

  • 7+ years of progress leadership experience in healthcare M&A, network development, or strategic planning 
  • Proven project management skills; experience with Gantt charts, trackers, and digital collaboration tools  
  • Advanced analytical skills; ability to interpret complex data sets and market intelligence 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with clinical, financial, legal, and IT teams 
  • Familiarity with healthcare market dynamics, regulatory environments, and partnership models 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 

  • Ability to develop and implement frameworks for evaluating markets, partners, and M&A opportunities 
  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems, partnership models, and industry trends 
  • Advanced skills in collecting, synthesizing, and interpreting enterprise statistics, market data, and performance metrics 
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects using tools such as Gantt charts, trackers, and digital collaboration platforms 
  • Expertise in automating and streamlining data collection, reporting, and project management workflows 
  • Strong ability to coordinate and communicate with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners 
  • Capable of preparing and presenting clear, actionable reports and dashboards for leadership and board-level audiences
