About The Position

The Supervisor Meter (Regional Electric and Gas) directs the work of Ameren Missouri electric and gas field metering personnel to coordinate the work with operating personnel, customer service personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations and Ameren requirements. This positions has direct leadership and management of the compliance of SOX and MPSC requirements. 

Key responsibilities include:

·Direct the work of Electric Meter field personnel (District Meter Testers and Apprentices) to assure that meter testing, repairs, programming and all associated field activities are performed, safely, accurately and in compliance with State regulations and standards as well as American National Standard for Electric Meters, ANSI C12.1-1995; ASTM Standards Sec 10; and Ameren policies & procedures.

·Responsible for the Dis

trict Meter Testers working in Jefferson City, Kirksville, Mexico, and Wentzville.    

·Lead the Mexico meter shop personnel including positions of Chief District Meter Tester, District Meter Testers and Apprentices to ensure gas meters compliance with the Missouri Public Service Commission standards for annual sampling and testing. 

·Engage and work with customers on an as needed basis in support of MoPSC on gas complaints and other customer related concerns (meter trouble, high bills, and other customer concerns).

·Assist CAD (Customer Account Dept) on resolution on electric and gas accounts.

·Plan and coordinate the exchange and tests of meters required by annual periodic and sample testing programs.

·Ensure that all work is effectively and efficiently scheduled to provide excellent customer service.

·Ensure that field working standards are in compliance with Ameren MO service manual, Ameren MO consolidated safety manual (CSM), and Ameren policies.  Encourage and promote successful co-worker to co-worker (C2Cs) interactions to improve performance and eliminate unsafe activities. 

·Contribute to the development and implementation of Meter Service and function goals.  Identify and implement improvements to control costs, optimize spending, and to improve productivity.

·Coordinate with engineering, customer service, filed service representatives, training, field operations, distribution system operations, meter shops, meter services personnel and outside contractors as required.

·Assist, promote, and lead the Ameren Regional Metering Services Safety Committee.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.  Five or more years’ relevant experience (e.g. journeyman meterman, electric or gas construction/maintenance, or equivalent) required. Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Experience working with electric metering or field testing may also be evaluated for consideration.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Good decision-making, leadership (including safety and quality), communication, and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of OAS, CSS, and MMS computer systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications Word and Excel, strongly preferred.

Supervisors are subject to call out for service work after normal working hours and are required to use their personal vehicles for company business. Some travel requiring overnight stays out of town may occur.

Compensation Range:

$88,500.00 - $137,200.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
