About The Position
The Quality Inspection Supervisor is responsible for assuring compliance to Ameren's welding quality and "R" Stamp programs and initiating corrective actions necessary to maintain compliance. Key responsibilities included:

Key responsibilities include:
● Perform visual inspections of welds made by Ameren and outside contractors
● Know proper usage of weld gages and other measuring tools
● Verify welder qualifications/continuity and welding procedures used by Ameren and outside contractors meet Code requirements
● Maintain day-to-day oversight of contactor’s welding and NDE to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, instructions and Ameren’s quality standards (quality issues log, FME, rod control, workmanship)
● Assist plant engineers, maintenance and construction supervisors interpret requirements of Ameren’s "R" Stamp program and provide possible alternative solutions
● Perform QA audits at each plant to ensure compliance with Ameren’s "R" Stamp Program (annually and every 3 years for R-Stamp renewal)
● Perform in-shop inspections at vendor’s work locations to ensure Ameren’s quality standards are met. This involves domestic and possibly foreign travel.
● Maintain liaison with national board inspectors (NBI), contractors and construction supervisors
● Share knowledge and experience with others through update training
● Coordinate NDE and other activities on major unit outages
● Review project engineering fabrication and construction specifications and provide guidance on Code standards, welding details including joints and electrodes, and required documentation

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Five years of power plant or heavy industrial experience required. Candidate must have one of the following (required): Minimum of three (3) years as certified repairmen/journeyman welder, OR two (2) or more years as direct supervisor of certified repairmen OR AWS Certified Weld Insptector (CWI).

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Thorough working knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes and post weld heat treatment required. Required to pass Jaeger 1 eye test. Knowledge of ASME and AWS welding and inspection codes preferred. If not a current CWI, candidate will be required to obtain a CWI certification within 2 years of acceptance of position.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$88,500.00 - $137,200.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
