US Prime and Marketing Tech (UPMT) GeMA team is revolutionizing customer relationship management through generative marketing agentic workflows (GeMA). The GeMA’s SDEIII role will lead the cross-organizational initiative to develop and implement a cohesive Agentic Marketing Framework aligned with agentic components of GeMA (Customer Understanding, Channel Delivery, Content Creation, CX, Copy, Creative, and Critic). This role will connect multiple engineering and science teams to audit, consolidate, and develop AI-based solutions that transform how Amazon reaches customers with personalized marketing at scale across Stores.
Technical Leadership and Scope

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for designing fault-tolerant multi-agent orchestration patterns, establishing evaluation frameworks for agent performance, and defining data contracts between components. The role requires aligning technical vision across numerous stakeholder teams like P13N (MessageCraft), AME, and NA Stores through detailed technical specifications and reference implementations.
