Within RoW, the Global Purchasing Program's vision is to leverage our global footprint to offer more selection to worldwide customers.

We are seeking an experienced leader of Business Development to lead and scale our vendor engagement initiatives for the worldwide Inventory Transfers program. In this role, you will manage a team tasked with driving strategic partnerships with top-tier vendors and a set of initiatives to expand available selection worldwide.

The ideal candidate is a proven people leader who excels in fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environments. You will bring exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to scale programs across multiple markets simultaneously. As an entrepreneurial leader, you will take full accountability for team performance, program outcomes, and long-term strategic success.

Key job responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Developers, Vendor Managers and / or Program Managers focused on vendor engagement and selection expansion for the worldwide inventory transfers program
• Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching, and drive career development for direct reports
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and customer obsession within the team
• Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent to scale the organization

Strategic Program Management:
• Define and execute the overall vendor engagement strategy for the WW inventory transfer program, ensuring alignment with broader GPP objectives
• Establish scalable frameworks and methodologies for vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding across multiple geographies
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with compliance, category management, technology, and product teams to remove systemic barriers
• Own P&L responsibility for vendor programs, including selection growth, cost optimization, and profitability targets

Executive Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with executives and senior leadership at strategic vendor partners
• Advocate for product and technology features that enable their team and vendors to operate seamlessly

Operational Excellence & Innovation:
• Design and implement scalable processes to manage vendor lifecycle from prospecting through ongoing optimization
• Establish metrics, reporting, and governance frameworks to track team performance and program success
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier experience and operational efficiency
• Champion new product launches and pilot programs, ensuring successful rollout across emerging markets

Data-Driven Decision Making:
• Establish comprehensive analytics and reporting capabilities to measure vendor and program performance
• Drive adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance team productivity and vendor experience

You will work closely with leadership to define strategy while empowering your team to execute with speed and precision. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of sales, inside sales, or business development experience
- Experience managing teams Preferred Qualifications: - Experience developing efficient and scalable sales operations processes
- Experience defining sales tech requirements for a CRM such as Salesforce
