About this role

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager, to join our growing LATAM Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team.

This individual contributor reports to the Sr. Regional RME for LATAM, and their primary focus is to maintain effective project management processes, tools, and standards across the LATAM RME organization. This role involves overseeing project intake, portfolio management, while developing metrics and analytics capabilities to assess project and portfolio health. This role will also be instrumental for the full alignment of the LATAM RME organization to the International RME standards through full alignment with AMS (Amazon Maintenance System) and Big Rocks.

The Program Manager supports business planning and performance reviews and actively facilitates communication between various stakeholders. They drive the adoption of project management best practices and operational excellence, lead the planning and execution of major business reviews, and ensure strategic alignment of projects with organizational goals. By providing centralized project oversight and improving portfolio visibility, the Program Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's delivery capabilities and overall operational efficiency.


Key job responsibilities
• Support the LATAM RME alignment to International standards through AMS (Amazon Maintenance System) compliance and Big Rocks implementation across all countries and business units.

• Oversee project intake, portfolio management, reporting, and metrics development to assess project health. Lead business reviews, operational planning cycles, and resource allocation.

• Develop and track costs with RME leadership and finance teams. Manage cost control processes and 3P service provider contracts.

• Lead end-to-end projects through Amazon tools (e.g., AMCAPs), including energy efficiency initiatives with Sustainability teams and rollout of new technologies.

• Support site-based teams in delivering Improvement and Innovation programs for MHE and RME processes. Analyze asset performance data to drive improvement initiatives.

• Monitor KPIs for reliability, maintainability, and engineerability. Track and resolve recurrent issues, acting as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment within LATAM, including Customer Fulfillment, Transportation Services and Amazon Logistics.

Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree;
- Program or project management experience;
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization;
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements;
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership;
- Fluent at using English communication, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels al over the world. Preferred Qualifications: - Spanish proficiency is highly desired.
