Business Environment
Amadeus is undergoing a major transformation by moving to public cloud. Queuing systems will play a key role in this new ecosystem.
Kafka
We are building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications. Kafka, as a scalable and fault-tolerant message broker, is central to this model. Our goal is to provide a reliable platform for users. During the transition to public cloud and beyond, Kafka will enable real-time and resilient data replication across multiple regions.
Automate platform tasks, including deployment, upgrades, and security integration.
Support migration of Kafka clusters to Kubernetes.
Offer guidance and tools for implementing Kafka jobs and middleware.
Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
Stay informed about evolving Kafka technologies and assess their impact.
Experience with Azure, OpenShift or Kubernetes, and Docker.
Proficiency in Java, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins; familiarity with Python is helpful.
Knowledge of Kafka fundamentals and related tools (e.g., Mirror Maker 2).
Experience with incident resolution and collaborative problem-solving.
Background in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) or other Agile methodologies.
