We enable clients to seize new opportunities, improve performance, and increase shareholder value within complex and converging industries.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a motivated and intellectually curious <strong>Junior AI Automation Engineer</strong> to join our team! This is a newly created role at Altman Solon and is ideal for someone early in their career, with strong technical fundamentals and knowledge of “the art of the possible” in terms of AI frameworks, platforms and tools. You will collaborate with consultants and business stakeholders to design, prototype, and implement automation solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the firm.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered automation workflows and intelligent agents</li> <li>Build integrations between AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs) and enterprise tools (Power Automate, APIs, CRMs, databases, collaboration platforms)</li> <li>Assist in rapid prototyping of new automation concepts and help scale them into production-ready solutions</li> <li>Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization of automation scripts and agents</li> <li>Stay up-to-date with emerging AI frameworks, libraries, and tools to bring innovative solutions to the team</li> <li>Document processes, tools, and workflows to support knowledge sharing</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Experience:</strong></p> <ul data-editing-info="{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}"> <li>Familiarity with at least one cloud data platform - AWS, GCP, Azure Synapse, Databricks</li> <li>GenAI toolkit&nbsp;</li> <ul data-editing-info="{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}"> <li>RAG</li> <li>MCP or Tools</li> <li>Familiarity with a couple agentic frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, or Crew AI (or other)</li> </ul> <li>Workflow / ETL experience on either open source or platform tools&nbsp;</li> <ul data-editing-info="{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true}"> <li>Open-source: Airflow, Luigi, Prefect, DBT, etc&nbsp;</li> <li>Platform:&nbsp; GCP Workflows, Databricks Jobs/Workflows, Data Factory</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field</li> <li>Minimum 1-2 years of relevant professional experience</li> <li>Strong programming skills in Python (experience with APIs, automation, or scripting preferred)</li> <li>Familiarity with AI concepts (natural language processing, large language models, prompt engineering)</li> <li>Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, or workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Airflow, Make, LangChain)</li> <li>Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version control (Git)</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Boston, MA</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $140,000+ all-in compensation, depending on experience</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship for employment visa status for this role.</strong>&nbsp;Please see below for additional information regarding sponsorship:</p> <ul> <li>If your responses regarding your work authorization and/or sponsorship needs are inconsistent between your application and the information you provide us at any point thereafter, Altman Solon reserves the right to discontinue consideration for employment.
