8hr-1st Shift 7a-3:30p Sparta (United States of America)

The Trainer position is responsible for training packers and machine operators on the production floor. This position assists to assign work, implements and enforces policies & procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Trainer - Day Shift will also be responsible for conducting New Hire Orientation each week.

Essential Functions

  • Handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used safely while performing job duties.
  • Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee training issues through problem resolution.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Under direction of Manage, track training measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
  • Leads by Example
  • Trains newly hired associates on the job, to promote maximum growth within the company.
  • Provide leadership
  • Help manage department priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with Plant Manager & Human Resources
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. 

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to learn basic measurements/mathematics
  • 1-3 years production/manufacturing experience


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous Trainer/Employee Engagement experience
