This role is based in an instrumentation lab environment and partners closely with engineering teams to support vehicle-level validation efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, and comfortable managing lab equipment, supporting test activities, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li data-start="729" data-end="813"> <p data-start="731" data-end="813">Provide day-to-day engineering technician support within the instrumentation lab</p> </li> <li data-start="814" data-end="868"> <p data-start="816" data-end="868">Manage check-in and check-out of all lab equipment</p> </li> <li data-start="869" data-end="946"> <p data-start="871" data-end="946">Serve as a super user for the internal asset management system</p> </li> <li data-start="947" data-end="1019"> <p data-start="949" data-end="1019">Track, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and test equipment</p> </li> <li data-start="1020" data-end="1123"> <p data-start="1022" data-end="1123">Support engineers by preparing and delivering instrumentation per documented requests and schedules</p> </li> <li data-start="1124" data-end="1202"> <p data-start="1126" data-end="1202">Prioritize and coordinate calibration activities based on project workload</p> </li> <li data-start="1203" data-end="1265"> <p data-start="1205" data-end="1265">Interface with calibration and equipment vendors as needed</p> </li> <li data-start="1266" data-end="1334"> <p data-start="1268" data-end="1334">Organize, label, and manage storage locations for test equipment</p> </li> <li data-start="1335" data-end="1410"> <p data-start="1337" data-end="1410">Verify instrumentation functionality by following documented procedures</p> </li> <li data-start="1411" data-end="1484"> <p data-start="1413" data-end="1484">Read, update, and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and data sheets</p> </li> <li data-start="1485" data-end="1573"> <p data-start="1487" data-end="1573">Assemble connectors and repair wiring harnesses in accordance with company standards</p> </li> <li data-start="1574" data-end="1643"> <p data-start="1576" data-end="1643">Perform soldering and operate required tools and equipment safely</p> </li> <li data-start="1644" data-end="1725"> <p data-start="1646" data-end="1725">Maintain strong working relationships with engineering staff and stakeholders</p> </li> <li data-start="1726" data-end="1782"> <p data-start="1728" data-end="1782">Support internal 5S and lab organization initiatives</p> </li> <li data-start="1783" data-end="1864"> <p data-start="1785" data-end="1864">Use Microsoft Office tools to document, track, and communicate lab activities</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li data-start="1886" data-end="1965"> <p data-start="1888" data-end="1965">Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field</p> </li> <li data-start="1886" data-end="1965">Ability to work fully on-site in Greensboro, NC</li> <li data-start="1966" data-end="2028"> <p data-start="1968" data-end="2028">Basic electrical knowledge and hands-on technical aptitude</p> </li> <li data-start="2029" data-end="2108"> <p data-start="2031" data-end="2108">Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</p> </li> <li data-start="2109" data-end="2169"> <p data-start="2111" data-end="2169">Inventory management experience or familiarity preferred</p> </li> <li data-start="2170" data-end="2234"> <p data-start="2172" data-end="2234">Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications</p> </li> <li data-start="2235" data-end="2291"> <p data-start="2237" data-end="2291">Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills</p> </li> <li data-start="2292" data-end="2351"> <p data-start="2294" data-end="2351">Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment</p> </li> <li data-start="2352" data-end="2423"> <p data-start="2354" data-end="2423">Positive mindset, strong work ethic, and proactive, can-do attitude</p> </li> <li data-start="2424" data-end="2499"> <p data-start="2426" data-end="2499">Previous experience with data loggers and measurement sensors is a plus</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.</span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
