We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.</p></div><p>We are seeking a Mid-Level Avionic Software Engineer with hands-on experience developing safety-critical aerospace software in accordance with DO-178 standards, typically at <strong data-start="531" data-end="570">Design Assurance Level (DAL) A or B</strong>. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience and is comfortable contributing across the software lifecycle, from requirements and implementation to integration and verification, within a highly regulated engineering environment.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>

<p data-start="832" data-end="979">Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and verification of embedded avionic software in compliance with <strong data-start="952" data-end="963">DO-178C</strong> (DAL A or B).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="980" data-end="1091">
<p data-start="982" data-end="1091">Implement and optimize software components and algorithms for constrained, real-time embedded environments.</p>

<li data-start="1092" data-end="1202">
<p data-start="1094" data-end="1202">Support system integration activities by collaborating with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1203" data-end="1340">
<p data-start="1205" data-end="1340">Participate in defining software architecture and interface requirements, ensuring traceability and adherence to aerospace standards.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1341" data-end="1456">
<p data-start="1343" data-end="1456">Perform and participate in formal design and code reviews to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1457" data-end="1608">
<p data-start="1459" data-end="1608">Assist with hardware bring-up, low-level debugging, and troubleshooting using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1609" data-end="1744">
<p data-start="1611" data-end="1744">Work with embedded communication protocols (e.g., <strong data-start="1661" data-end="1703">CAN, SPI, I2C, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553</strong>) to ensure reliable system interactions.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications;</strong></p>
<ul>

<p data-start="1771" data-end="1904">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1905" data-end="2023">
<p data-start="1907" data-end="2023"><strong data-start="1907" data-end="1934">5–8 years of experience</strong> in embedded software development within aerospace or other safety-critical industries.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2024" data-end="2158">
<p data-start="2026" data-end="2158">Direct experience working with <strong data-start="2057" data-end="2123">DO-178C development, verification, and certification processes</strong> (DAL A or B strongly preferred).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2159" data-end="2281">
<p data-start="2161" data-end="2281">Proficiency in <strong data-start="2176" data-end="2192">C and/or C++</strong>, with familiarity in Python or other scripting languages for test or automation tasks.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2282" data-end="2403">
<p data-start="2284" data-end="2403">Solid understanding of embedded systems design, RTOS concepts, timing constraints, and low-level hardware interfaces.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2282" data-end="2403">Ability to work fully on-site in Burlington, Vermont.</li>
