Job Overview

The SVP, Chief Medical Officer, plans, organizes, and directs all AltaMed Health Services Corporation (AHSC) medical/dental/clinical/nursing/behavioral health/health education services to ensure quality, patient-centric, appropriate, timely, safe, and cost-effective care. Responsible for AHSC's Total Quality Management, Peer Review, medical management review of clinical UM/case management/claims transactions, medical education, research (including AltaMed Institute of Health Equity & Medical Education), and health education Programs. May practice and provide medical services at one or more of AltaMed’s sites.

Minimum Requirements

  • Physician with an active, unrestrictive CA license to practice medicine by the Medical Board of California.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

  • Medical group management experience is highly preferred. 

  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$412,230.25 - $515,287.81 annually
