About this role

As a Supply Chain Manager at URUS, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of logistics, warehousing, purchasing, and customer service operations within your assigned area. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will help ensure efficient workflows, accurate inventory, timely fulfillment, and adherence to corporate policies. You will lead a team of front-line employees and serve as a critical link between strategy and execution across the supply chain. Responsibilities

Logistics Support: 

  • Oversee daily coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with internal teams and logistics providers to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation (e.g., BOLs, customs forms), monitor freight invoices for accuracy, and ensure records comply with company policies and regulatory standards. 
  • Resolve logistics exceptions, damages, or delivery delays promptly, while communicating updates to relevant stakeholders and supporting root cause analysis. 
  • Support the Category Manager monitoring carrier performance and transportation costs, contributing to improvement initiatives and assisting in vendor selection and performance evaluations. 
  • Enforce transportation safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ADR, DOT), ensuring consistent execution of logistics procedures and SOPs.

Customer Service Management: 

  • Oversee customer service representatives to ensure order accuracy, timely responses, and effective issue resolution. 
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of service-level metrics to drive performance and customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and warehousing to resolve customer concerns and ensure a seamless order fulfillment experience. 
  • Oversee day-to-day customer service tasks such as order entry, returns processing, account updates, and system documentation to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Purchasing: 

  • Monitor purchasing activities for supplies, materials, and services as directed by the Supply Chain Director. 
  • Maintain supplier communication to confirm order status, resolve routine issues, and ensure on-time delivery. 
  • Ensure purchase orders are issued accurately and in alignment with internal controls and company procurement policies. 
  • Support adherence to compliance requirements, including vendor qualification, documentation standards, and audit readiness. 
  • Identify and escalate any deviations from procurement procedures or compliance protocols.
     

Requirements 

  • Proven leadership and management capabilities within complex supply chain environments.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with both quantitative and qualitative proficiency.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and effectively apply relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems and analytical tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude, with a track record of driving operational improvements and cost optimization.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to meet critical business deadlines.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, or purchasing. 
  • Extensive experience managing complex supply chain functions, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrable success in strategic purchasing, logistics optimization, and inventory management. 
  • Track record of successful collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional business units.
