Trans Ova Genetics is seeking an Advanced Technologies Lab Technician to join our team in Hull, IA. This is a unique opportunity to perform embryo production and micromanipulation work. This role offers hands-on exposure to cloning, cell culture, and precision laboratory techniques within a collaborative team. Responsibilities:

• Micromanipulation (oocyte enucleation, cell injection, oocyte-cell fusion). 
• Cell culture. 
• Oocyte collection and maturation. 
• Embryo culture. 
• Media preparation. 
• Data Entry. 
• Supply ordering. 
• Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova’s industry position. 
• Follows Trans Ova’s policies and procedures. 
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 
   

Requirements:

• Education Requirements:
  • B.S. in Biology or related area preferred.
• Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work on microscopes for prolonged period.  
  • Ability to work under a laminar flow hood.
• Other skills/experience:
  • Produces high quality work. 
  • Prior hands on experience in embryology (embryo culture, oocyte maturation) and micromanipulation preferred but not required. 
  • Good hand to eye coordination. 
  • Strong attention to details. 
  • Good intention to follow protocols.
