Job Description

The Manager, Workforce Planning and Analytics leads the design, development, and execution of enterprise workforce planning strategies. This role uses data-driven insights, forecasting models, and workforce analytics to ensure the organization has the talent capacity, skills, and structure needed to achieve business objectives. The manager collaborates closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leaders to deliver actionable intelligence, optimize staffing decisions, and enhance workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop short‑ and long‑term workforce plans aligned to organizational strategy and budget.
  • Utilize predictive analytics to anticipate talent needs, skill gaps, and workforce risks.
  • Build scenario models to support staffing plans, hiring strategies, and capacity management.

People Analytics & Reporting

  • Lead the creation of dashboards, scorecards, and analytics that provide insights into headcount, turnover, labor spend, talent flows, and productivity.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across HR systems and reporting processes.

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Finance to inform hiring plans, resource allocation, and organizational design decisions.
  • Serve as a consultative advisor on workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leaders to support data-driven decision-making.

Process & Technology Optimization

  • Improve workforce planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Introduce best practices for analytics automation, reporting efficiency, and data visualization.
  • Support system enhancements and new technology integrations that strengthen analytics capability.
  • Coach or lead analysts to ensure high-quality analysis, reporting, and delivery.
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, data literacy, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR analytics, people analytics, or related field
  • Proven experience supporting senior leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and workforce/financial planning tools

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including modeling and scenario analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or equivalent platforms

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Ability to influence leaders through data storytelling and insight-driven recommendations
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally
