Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
About the Role
ALS Inspection are looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Knowsley site on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who already holds a Level 3 Electrical qualification and is keen to build hands-on experience across a wide range of maintenance disciplines. You’ll be joining a supportive, practical team where learning on the job, developing new skills, and gaining long-term stability are genuinely encouraged.

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Working Hours: 07:30–16:00
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Location: Prescot
The Day to Day
Carrying out general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, joinery, plastering, and fabrication work
Responding to maintenance requests and assisting with repairs or replacements
Helping with the set-up, relocation, and movement of furniture, equipment, and machinery
Supporting redecoration, refurbishment, and improvement projects across the site
Completing routine maintenance checks and keeping accurate records
Working closely with supervisors to ensure health & safety standards are met
The Essentials
Level 3 Electrical qualification (including 17th or 18th Edition)
General working knowledge of plumbing and joinery
Maintain accurate logbooks and records in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards
A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn new skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment
Good problem-solving skills and an interest in developing within maintenance and facilities
