About the Role

As a Coal Quality Tester, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Analytical Laboratory. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality analytical results, meeting turnaround time targets, and maintaining the highest standards in safety, client service, and productivity.

Day to Day

• Perform ship and train sampling
• Conduct coal quality and analytical testing, including data recording and validation
• Review, verify, and authorise analytical results prior to release
• Ensure compliance with Quality Work Instructions and laboratory standards
• Process samples efficiently without compromising accuracy or quality
• Perform general laboratory duties, including cleaning and maintenance of work areas
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient laboratory environment
• Hands on physical work

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to perform physical tasks when required
• Previous coal quality testing experience advantageous but not essential
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service focus and proactive, solutions-based approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
