What You’ll Do

The QA Manager – Legacy Applications owns quality strategy and execution for Aptarro’s Microsoft-based legacy application portfolio. This role is accountable for reducing defect escape rates from established 2025 baselines while expanding automation coverage, accelerating feedback loops, and applying AI-assisted quality techniques. Reporting to the EVP of Legacy Applications, this leader manages a globally distributed QA team and partners closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, Security, and Compliance to ensure revenue-critical systems meet high standards of reliability and regulatory compliance.

 • Own and continuously evolve QA strategy for revenue-generating legacy applications.
 • Drive measurable reduction in defect escape rates relative to 2025 baseline metrics.
 • Define, track, and report quality KPIs including escape rate, automation coverage, test effectiveness, and cycle time.
 • Implement risk-based testing strategies appropriate for complex, long-lived systems.
 • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ~8 QA engineers across the U.S. and India.
 • Partner with Engineering Managers to embed quality leadership into sprint and release planning.
 • Expand and harden automated test suites across UI, API, integration, and regression layers.
 • Apply AI-driven techniques for test generation, prioritization, defect prediction, and root-cause analysis.
 • Integrate QA execution into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and support Jira-based teams as needed.
 • Ensure QA practices support deployments across Azure public cloud, private cloud, and on‑prem environments.
 • Partner with Compliance, Security, and Operations to support audits and regulated releases.
 • Lead root-cause analysis for escaped defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.

What You Bring

 • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 3+ years in a QA leadership or management role.
 • Deep experience with Microsoft-centric application stacks (.NET, SQL Server, Windows-based services, Azure).
 • Proven success reducing defect escape rates in complex or legacy enterprise systems.
 • Strong background in test automation and CI/CD integration, preferably using Azure DevOps.
 • Demonstrated experience piloting or applying AI-assisted QA or software delivery techniques.
 • Experience working in regulated environments, preferably healthcare.
 • Excellent analytical, communication, and executive-facing presentation skills.
 • Preferred: experience with physician revenue cycle software, PE-backed portfolios, hybrid cloud/on‑prem deployments, and using quality metrics to drive organizational     behavior change.
