At Alpha, we pride ourselves in being a meritocratic environment perfect for building a career, meeting great people, as well as a rewarding place to work.<br><br></p> <p><strong>Alpha Insurance Technology Services</strong></p> <p>As technology specialists, Alpha Insurance Technology Services:</p> <ul> <li>Provide knowledgeable resources who can implement, configure and support the major platforms used by our clients.</li> <li>Form a range of partnerships with key vendors to position itself as a preferred implementation partner for major business applications.</li> <li>Assist clients with their journey to the next generation of cloud-based architectures.</li> <li>Help clients to define and implement their <strong>future state data architectures.</strong></li> <li>Help clients with bespoke development that complements their core application architecture.</li> <li>Provide knowledgeable and client-focussed support for client’s major applications, including upgrades, migrations and business-as-usual issue management.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and lead delivery of data platforms, end-to-end pipelines and system integrations, managing an implementation team of experienced developers and technical consultants.</li> <li>Support in the definition and implementation of best practice data engineering and governance practices.</li> <li>Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, including definition of required work packages and resourcing.</li> <li>Support our clients in improving and optimizing their operating models, including resource management, technology architecture and business process.</li> <li>Use your knowledge of the vendor and tool landscape, both within our client’s technology stacks and the broader market to design appropriate solutions.</li> <li>Define and socialize technical approaches for implementation, eg SDLC, data migration, integrations, influencing client teams to your best practice perspective.</li> <li>Input to project definition, resourcing and timelines and objectives within a workstream or project.</li> <li>Drive the documentation and development according to specifications and standards.</li> <li>Present options and designs to business and technology stakeholders, articulating Alpha’s IP in business process design and technical delivery to clients at all levels.</li> <li>Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with internal and client peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.</li> <li>Support Alpha’s internal IP with proposition and accelerator development, including at least one area of specific expertise</li> <li>Take a lead in mentoring and coaching team members.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Bachelors’ degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in data engineering/architecture,&nbsp; including experience with transformational efforts; as well as some experience in the Insurance industry, especially P&amp;C Insurance.</li> <li>Experience managing <strong>data engineering projects</strong> using Agile or other methodologies.</li> <li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.</li> <li>Ability to design scalable and reliable data architectures.</li> <li>Understanding of data lifecycle management and data quality frameworks.</li> <li>Experience leading complex <strong>data modeling</strong>, ETL design (AWS Glue, Talend, Azure Data Factory), and using large databases in a business environment.</li> <li>Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or AWS Redshift.</li> <li>Experience with deploying compute and orchestrating workloads directly in Azure or AWS, or platforms such as Databricks, including containerized services.</li> <li>Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or similar languages.</li> <li>Experience with microservices architecture and API management.</li> <li>Previous experience working for a global consulting firm is preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with the following would as an advantage:</li> <ul> <li>Data handling with AI/ML: Python, R</li> <li>ETL: Databricks, Azure Data Factory</li> <li>Low Code platforms: MS PowerApps, Mendix, Outsystems&nbsp;</li> <li>CRM: Salesforce, MS Dynamics</li> <li>Workflow: Unqork, Appian, Boomi Flow</li> </ul> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Benefits / Additional Information</strong></p> <ul> <li>25 days of annual paid time off (accrued), in addition to paid holidays</li> <li>Sponsorship towards professional certifications / training supported with 5 days of paid training time&nbsp;</li> <li>Reimbursement for commuting, mobile phone, and home internet expenses&nbsp;</li> <li>Supplemented medical, dental and vision coverage&nbsp;</li> <li>401k matching&nbsp;</li> <li>Wellness initiatives to promote healthy working, including a gym reimbursement for those enrolled in our medical plans and an allowance for remote working technology&nbsp;</li> <li>Access to discounted travel, tickets, events, and more through our benefit partner</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>All Alpha team members must pass thorough background checks, including fraud prevention initiatives like physical location verifications.</strong></span></li> <li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Team members are expected to be available from 8:30am - 5:30pm EST, Monday - Friday. </strong></span></li> <li>Infrequent travel to client sites may be required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. The base salary range for this position is: <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>$124,000 to $170,000</strong></span> and is subject to change based on salary benchmarking.
