<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Alpaca is seeking a highly motivated Director of Business Development to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in institutional sales and business development within financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency. As a key contributor to Alpaca’s growth, you will manage and expand client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and enhance Alpaca’s presence through events and strategic presence initiatives.</span></p>

<h4><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>1. Strategic Relationship & Business Development</strong></span></h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain trusted relationships with fintechs, exchanges, brokerages, banks, primes, and ecosystem partners.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Serve as a key executive interface with prospective and existing clients, identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships and expand platform adoption.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Navigate high-stakes engagements with regulators, government agencies, and public sector institutions to support Alpaca’s global expansion.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own the full client relationship lifecycle—from opportunity scoping to deal structuring and ongoing partnership growth.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities in collaboration with sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Support account conversion by partnering with the sales team on strategic deals, lead nurturing, and referral follow-up.</span><br><br></li>

<h4><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>2. Ecosystem Development & GTM Execution</strong></span></h4>

<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive Alpaca’s go-to-market (GTM) execution in new geographies and verticals through engagement with local fintech communities, regulators, founders, and institutional partners.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate closely with the CRO to execute against revenue targets and market expansion priorities.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Champion Alpaca’s product value proposition by deeply understanding the platform and translating customer pain points into strategic solutions.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Analyze CRM data and business performance metrics to inform sales strategy and uncover growth opportunities.</span><br><br></li>

<h4><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>3. Industry Representation & Brand Advocacy</strong></span></h4>

<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Represent Alpaca and the CRO at high-profile industry conferences, regulatory roundtables, and ecosystem events.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist and serve as public-facing spokespeople for Alpaca in government meetings, webinars, client workshops, and strategic media engagements.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Host and organize regional networking events and client briefings to showcase Alpaca’s leadership and reinforce customer trust.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Prepare and deliver high-impact sales presentations and monthly performance reports, translating data into actionable insights.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Who You Are (Must-Haves):</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Experience:</strong> 7+ years in business development, institutional sales, or account management within financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Communication Skills:</strong> Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and senior executives.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Industry Knowledge:</strong> Familiarity with financial markets, digital assets, and emerging technologies.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Analytical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, track performance, and recommend actionable insights.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Relationship Building:</strong> Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of fostering lasting partnerships.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Event Management:</strong> Experience organizing and participating in industry events to boost brand visibility and engage clients.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus), Series 7 preferred. </span></li>
