Job Summary
The role of the OUSA delegate is to provide a direct student perspective, experience, and representation of Queen’s students at the General Assembly of OUSA. The Ontario Undergraduate Student Association represents over 250 000 students to advocate for student interests to the provincial government and stakeholders through developed research-based policy papers; these papers are cycled and passed through the General Assembly to ensure to stay representing student interests. You will be acting on behalf of Queen’s alongside the other delegates that make up the Queen’s voting block.

Attend all training sessions to become familiar with OUSA and the General Assembly process.
Be productive, efficient and attentive in completing steps assigned to delegates.
Respect and adhere to all procedures as outlined in the OUSA procedures and policy manual.
Follow all AMS policy as outlined in the Volunteer Policy and Procedures Manual
Be contributive, prepared, and engaged with OUSA Breakout sessions, plenary, and training for OUSA General Assembly
Job Requirements
Ability to be accountable, set expectations and monitor progress of all different aspects of the assembly process to expectations.
Sound analytical thinking, planning and prioritization skills

The AMS oversees the day-to-day operations of 11 student-run services, 700+ student staff, 200+ student volunteers, a number of student government committees aimed at promoting student interests, and over 350 clubs.
Monitored by Director of Marketing and Director of Communications, Monday - Friday, 9-5pm.
