Job Description

Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to the proper disposition. Responsible for training, mentoring, controlling quality and providing technical assistance on material damage claims.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Estimator specializing in supplements to join our growing team! This role works closely with body shops to review, write, and negotiate auto estimates and supplements, with approximately 95% of the role focused on supplement handling. The ideal candidate brings strong technical estimating expertise, a deep understanding of repair procedures, and confident negotiation skills when working with repair facilities. Experience writing estimates in CCC and proficiency with Microsoft applications is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities

• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company

• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines

• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option

• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines

• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is:

Estimate Writer Consultant II: $28.03 - $39.42

Estimate Writer Consultant Sr I: $35.82 - $45.58

Estimate Writer Consultant Sr II: $37.98 - $48.08

Per hour and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
