Job Description:


Primary Purpose of Role

Allison is seeking to hire a Warehouse Technician in Yorktown, Indiana. This position is responsible for successfully commits him/herself to complete all training requirements to continuously improve his/her skills. Demonstrates independent decision-making skills on day-to-day production tasks that steadfastly pushes self and others for results. Prepared and receptive mind that looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge. Thrives in a fast-paced environment that enjoys hard work. Adds value to the team by immersing him/herself in challenges and comes up with new and unique ideas for solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking of work orders to supply assembly and sales orders for Shipping Clerk to pack/ship
  • Load/Unload trucks as necessary
  • Perform checks to verify stock accuracy
  • Process transfers of stock (bin to bin, quantity differences, etc.)
  • Investigate in cases of missing and/or misplaced stock
  • Verify stock and quantities, when necessary
  • General management and organization of material in warehouse according to guidelines given by    Production/Planning Manager
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
  • Work overtime as required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanics.
  • Experience with operating industrial material handling equipment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Must have a high energy level and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Must be highly motivated and be a strong team player.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license or occupational driving privileges.
  • Operation of forklift

Work Environment: 

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
