Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Guard - Retail Patrol in Columbia, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will remain visible, respond to situations as they arise, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and addressing unauthorized entry as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with customers, employees, and/or visitors as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
