Job Description
As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge checks, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy. You will stay visible to help deter incidents, assist employees and visitors with professionalism, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including greeting, verifying identification as required, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
- Observe and report unusual activity, unsecured doors, propped entrances, suspicious packages, and other conditions that may require security-related attention.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance within scope and requesting additional resources as needed.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, radios, and access control systems when assigned, and communicate observations to appropriate contacts.
- Complete written reports and electronic documentation for patrols, incidents, and daily activity, including accurate timelines and statements.
- Support workplace policies common to technology, media, and telecom locations, such as protecting restricted areas, assisting with confidentiality expectations, and controlling access to server rooms and/or other critical spaces as directed.
- Provide direction during evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and other emergency conditions when assigned, and assist with accountability procedures as directed.
- Work collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives to follow post orders, support audits and/or inspections, and maintain a professional presence at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- - A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- - CPR certification is preferred.
- - At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
